John Carter has over 30 years of commercial banking experience with both direct and correspondent lending with broad exposure to commercial and industrial lending, real estate, private banking and institutional lending as well as treasury management functions.

​

Experienced with both making and collecting loans through 6 recessions, John passed the national Credit Risk Certification the first year the examination was offered (2004). John has experience in small banks such as OmniBank, in large institutional banks (KeyBank, Wells Fargo) and with correspondent banking at Bankers’ Bank of the West which laid the foundation for Denver Banker, a unique source of quality credits suited for specific community banks and bankers.

 

John is active in the community through chambers, Innosphere, Rockies Venture Club, Keiretsu Forum TiE and was a founding member of the Denver Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth where he has served in various leadership positions. John has also served on the board as past president of the Risk Management Association Rocky Mountain Chapter and remains active as a mentor and resource for banks about credit risk for over 20 years.
