How to Create High-Performance Business Leaders and Professional Athletes

My undying passion for high-performance and leadership led me to explore a deeper understanding of what it takes to be the best performer and leader, as well as how to create high-performing culture or teams. By observing the behavior of high-performing individuals, both in business and professional sports, I found a first-hand connection and common traits between high-performing individuals in life, regardless of what game they played – individual or group professional sports or business and leadership. Over the last 15 years, I watched closely the behaviors that were reflected in high-performing individuals who took their business or personal performance goals yet to another level, showing others that impossible is indeed possible. Observing and interviewing various pro-athletes, in addition to high-performing business leaders, led me to arrive at the following conclusions: Know Your WHY It is critical to know your why that motivates you and gets you out of bed […]

How to Achieve High Performance in Life & Professionally

High performance is a big buzzword that can be used or interpreted in many different ways. In my mind, high performance is all about personal and professional development, while focusing on goals and key objectives in order to achieve exceptional results. Today, in our ever-changing environment, coupled with high-pressure and expectations, high or low levels of performance affect us personally and/or professionally more than we may want to admit. I was always wondering: What makes us low or high performers? Is it energy, passion, drive, motivation, focus, or desire? Or is it something else? This topic is very close to home for me. 3.0 C-Suite Top Secrets: Transforming Your & Organizational Thinking

As I write this, 2015 is only 52 days old. To me, it seems like it’s been a thousand days since the ball dropped. But that’s good – really good actually. And by the time you reflect and catch your breath, it feels that months have passed? Yes? Great feeling, right? That is exactly what I am talking about. Just this past week, despite the snowstorms that seemed to follow me through my amazing conversations with brilliant executives in NYC, Washington DC, Chicago, Detroit (and not so snowy Dallas) all the way back to Denver…where it’s just starting to fall. The best part? Everyone I talked to and worked with had an incredible attitude in spite of multitudes of disruptions in […]

Are you experiencing a high-level of change at home or work? Dealing with so many decisions and not sure what to do? Is fear stopping you from moving forward? Would you like to know how to get from where you are to where you want to be? You are not alone! So many people today are feeling “stuck”…confronted with “impossible” obstacles…or simply paralyzed by fear.  When we experience these feelings in our personal and professional lives, many of us just don’t know what to do. Which brings us back to fear and it’s most common manifestations: fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of success, and the dreaded fear of letting someone down. True, right? This is when we get emotionally overwhelmed; that little voice inside our head that sabotages our progress on the path to greatness (to be the best we can be). As a result, we can feel […]

If you take a moment to reflect on your first big dream as a kid, when you are asked “who do you want to be or want to do when you grow up”, you might surprise yourself today with the answer. Some of us reached exactly what we wanted, some not yet, and some of us are still unsure what that may be. Our BIG DREAM is turning into identifying our BIG WHY! At some point in our life, we lost touch with that dream or our why, and in some rare cases, we may not remember that we had one. The best part is that we can reconnect or discover a new dream in our life right now, right? Regardless what role we may play in our personal or professional life, we all are at some point looking for game changing or transformational opportunities that will lead us on […]
