Authentic Leadership: 5 Key Elements to Lead with Authenticity

WHAT IS Authentic Leadership and why is it so important? Simply put, as you meet, speak and listen with thousands of wide-ranging leaders and influencers over the years, you start to recognize special patterns and common traits over and over. Further, you start to identify with that authentic voice, style and synergy within your own authenticity. It is magical because you can be a unique, valuable and tremendously impactful and authentic version of yourself among other authentic leaders. “Yes, in all my research, the greatest leaders looked inward and were able to tell a good story with authenticity and passion.” ~ Deepak Chopra Today as I am writing this post, I want to not only emphasize the importance of authentic leadership but also to honor some exceptional role models of authentic […]

What Can You See in the Eyes of a Refugee

Look into my eyes. Look! Yes you, you as I am standing naked in the truth In front of you, fearing nothing! Look into my eyes, the eyes of a refugee A bi-product of bloody war, torture and genocide Who hates no one, fears no one, blames no one Who rapes no one, cheats no one, lies to no one Who enslave no one, attacks no one, kills no one Look at me! Look into my eyes, eyes that hold stories Stories of thousands and thousands of refugees From hundreds of countries around the world Voiceless, silenced, oppressed and suppressed Still seeking refuge From weapons that silence the world’s voice Replaced with chaos and the hating noise From peace that comes from someone’s grave From profit from the slave From propaganda, racism or blame From further inflicting the heart-wrenching pain To someone’s father, mother, sister or brother To someone’s husband, […]

He/she smiles, genuinely, he/she nods his/her head and he/she wishes good morning to everyone he/she encounters from the moment he/she parked his/her car in the big secure garage, rode in the elevator, and upon entry to the building. Today, on his/her mind is so many thoughts and point of views, especially the word view and his/her diverse trusted advisors’ perspectives. Grace is the […]
