How to Create High-Performance Business Leaders and Professional Athletes

My undying passion for high-performance and leadership led me to explore a deeper understanding of what it takes to be the best performer and leader, as well as how to create high-performing culture or teams. By observing the behavior of high-performing individuals, both in business and professional sports, I found a first-hand connection and common traits between high-performing individuals in life, regardless of what game they played – individual or group professional sports or business and leadership. Over the last 15 years, I watched closely the behaviors that were reflected in high-performing individuals who took their business or personal performance goals yet to another level, showing others that impossible is indeed possible. Observing and interviewing various pro-athletes, in addition to high-performing business leaders, led me to arrive at the following conclusions: Know Your WHY It is critical to know your why that motivates you and gets you out of bed […]

How to Achieve High Performance in Life & Professionally

High performance is a big buzzword that can be used or interpreted in many different ways. In my mind, high performance is all about personal and professional development, while focusing on goals and key objectives in order to achieve exceptional results. Today, in our ever-changing environment, coupled with high-pressure and expectations, high or low levels of performance affect us personally and/or professionally more than we may want to admit. Today, many players, coaches, and executive leaders are facing unforeseen opportunities, as well as challenges while striving to reach their objectives. Such changes lead to team or organizational restructuring and implied rethinking of current leadership functions and best practices. You may be surprised how much you can learn, or from who you can learn, about the next “big thing”, major issue, or innovative solution during a mini vacation, as well as a business trip. But how is this applicable to you? This content is not about marketing; instead, it is about sharing relevant information […]

Hunt for High Performers: 8 Traits That Still Exist

Can’t help but to chuckle when talking with glocal (local, global and virtual) friends and colleagues about changes around us that each one of us may see from a different perspective, yet arrive at the same place. One of those “hot spots” is high performing, or lack of performing, expectations, definitions, discussions or assumptions. I am sure you have experienced that too, especially at work. To some, concepts around high performance may still appear abstract as we come across them along our paths in life or business, especially around high performers with impact.  Why is there such confusion? Is it really hard to detect or recognize high performer? Is it truly lack of knowledge? Or simply that we may not have a unified, shared understanding? Just because someone’s appearance or delivery may be slightly different, it doesn’t mean it is insufficient, wrong or poor. Some people are playing or writing […]
