What Types of Leaders Are Most Needed in the World Today?

In the world we live in today, there are more personal and professional complexities than ever before. Organizations, especially the Fortune 500, need a strong leadership presence in order to succeed in transforming, innovating and implementing their vision and value across the globe. The impact on humanity by actions of leaders today is indeed more visible than ever before. As I was seeking the answer for years to “What types of leaders are most needed in the world today?,” I consistently came to the following conclusions: Charismatic Leaders – have a lot of charm and engaging personality with a strong ability to motivate and inspire others by encouraging their followers to commit and devote their time and support in new innovative projects or large goals. Legacy Leaders – represent a body of work at each stage of their career or path as they establish the foundational building blocks. Over time, they accumulate […]

Are You Willing to Risk Your Most Precious Assets? 7 Reasons Why (NOT)

Many of you have asked me to share a bit more about the Art of the Legacy Leaders and Legends. As I do, keep in mind that the foundation or the Art is You and Your Heart. For over a decade, I have participated in the rehabilitation of survivors and the families of genocide, torture, war trauma and human trafficking, I’ve learned the most profound life and leadership lessons threaded with hundreds of colorful tapestries of cultures and words of wisdom. A remarkable example I’ve found is how similarly three very different cultures, religions, and geographic regions define a person’s success! Listening to the voices of a Native American Chief, a Sufi Master and a Buddhist Monk sharing their stories, I couldn’t help but smile and feel a universal truth of measuring our success from a thousand years ago that is still very relevant today: I. Raise a child or […]

From Leadership 1:1 to High Impact: Where & How to Start

MANY OF YOU wanted to know where to start as a leader and better yet how. Also, some of you asked me how I started my path as a leader, especially with a focus on high impact and legacy leadership. I am sure you heard this before – you start with the end in mind! You start wherever you are right now and go from there! What end? How long or far is that? Can you even see that far? And how high can you go? Leadership 1:1 The path to leadership is a life-long journey. I believe that it is the personal and professional daily core practice that defines who you are today and who you want to be tomorrow. It is an intimate dancing partner on this life long journey. This dance is a personal transformation that creates an inspiring vision of the future regardless of where you are today. And […]

Your Legacy Leadership: 4 Key Elements to Enduring Excellence

YOUR Leadership Legacy is all about learning from past experiences, living life in the moment and building for the future. Leadership Legacy is all about being human and finding deeper meaning in life while positively impacting others. Leadership Legacy is not bound by age or even social-economic status. It really represents a body of work at each stage of your carrier path that contributes to a solid foundation of your personal and professional growth. As a result, your leadership legacy expands with each new experience, a new bold idea or innovation that you courageously acted on that then inspired others to do the same. There’s just nothing better than to contribute in such a meaningful way! What I find fascinating is that people often think that they don’t make meaningful contributions only because it’s hard for them to measure the impact of their actions. More to the point, they are […]

Are you experiencing a high-level of change at home or work? Dealing with so many decisions and not sure what to do? Is fear stopping you from moving forward? Would you like to know how to get from where you are to where you want to be? You are not alone! So many people today are feeling “stuck”…confronted with “impossible” obstacles…or simply paralyzed by fear.  When we experience these feelings in our personal and professional lives, many of us just don’t know what to do. Which brings us back to fear and it’s most common manifestations: fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of success, and the dreaded fear of letting someone down. True, right? This is when we get emotionally overwhelmed; that little voice inside our head that sabotages our progress on the path to greatness (to be the best we can be). As a result, we can feel […]

Through my wide range of business opportunities, I was able to establish a network that is giving me the flavor and satisfaction of glocal presence (merged local, global and virtual environments) including a wide range of top performing executive talents and industries. During a recent private event, I had a chance to catch up with some very successful and influential Fortune 500 CEO including Bill Graebel. This was an excellent opportunity to learn about his company most recent changes and the new direction he is taking with Graebel Companies. You may be familiar with Bill’s family business and what his company was doing for over 60 years. They managed over this time to build a strong legacy and visibility, in local, national, and global environments. As you may already know, legacy leaders are something I have […]
